On the Ocean Floor

12 Tags of 2014- July I was really worried I would miss this months tag.  I have made a commitment to create every month.  A couple weeks ago I injured my back.  All those new Sizzix dies and I haven't touched one of them.   And sitting in my craft room isn't really comfortable.  So, taking it slow, breaking a lot and a few Advil I have managed to create the tag.
I am a coastal girl and hail from Vancouver Island.  So, these Sizzix dies I fell in love with!

I followed Tim's technique's.
Creating the sand was a new one for me.  I really loved how it turned out.
When I was picking out all my Sizzix goodies I "almost" got the embossing folder Tim used.  Ugh, I should have.  But the rays one worked out perfect.
I love adding distress paint to my word bands.

A lot of great techniques this month which made it a lot of fun.
I'm off to YELLOWSTONE tomorrow in my motor home along with my adorable husband, 3 kids, dog and towing my Jeep!  One of my favorite Nat…

CC3 Challenge #5- Distress Watercolor

It's watercolor madness!

More birthday cards I made for my son using the Treats Blueprint set.  I love this set!  There's so much creatively you can do with it!  Using my Mini Distress Inks to create these bright cards was easy peasy!
I used the #1 Mini Distress Inks for these cards. I did the background with stencil.  I fussy cut the ice cream cone then added some rock candy stickles.  Watercolouring these stamps is easy and good messy fun!
Card number 2; GUM
My son loves gum...and candy.  More fussy cutting with the bottle.  For the pop bottle I added some mini rusty hinge and broken china from Kit #6. Gum Please!
I stamped #happybirthday from the #hashtags set.
Both cards are bright and fun! Keeping these simple makes the cards quick to create!  Thanks for taking the time to check them out!  Be sure to check out the CC3 Challenge sponsored by Inspiration EmporiumCompendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #5

Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #5, Watercolor

If you frequent my blog then you know I LOVE to watercolor!  Another gift I made for my son's 13th birthday he had a couple weeks ago!  Teen's always ask for cash and creating this candy drawer box is a great way to stash the cash!  Otherwise it's just boring to give money!  Click HERE to see his other cash box I made for him. These are so fast to make!  I used an 8x8 Tim Holtz paper pack for the designer paper.
Using a variety of my stencils and the Mini Distress Inks for the watercoloring each side.

I cut lucky #13 from my new Vintage Market XL Die.  I then coated it in Antique Linen Distress Glitter!
I mounted the 13 on my snowflake rosette.  I'm really loving this strip die!  And it's not even winter.   Since I live in a different Province then the rest of my family my kids often get cash!  This is a simple way to give cash for a teen!  Thanks for stopping by!!!  I will be playing along with the CC3 Challenge and Inspiration Emporium is sponsoring Challenge…
