Tags and Cookies

All month the Inspiration Team for Eileen Hull has shared their cards and tags... not to mention Creativation Sneak Peeks.
Why not created this wee tag for the Cookie Box and adding the Pansy Flower die.  This one is my favourite flower released.  Juliamade the most stunning flower so I totally stole her idea... I mean I was inspired ;)

I used watercolor paper and candied apple distress spray stain for the Pansy Flower .  Then I cut  Cookie Box using chip board.  The flower petals are inked with ground espresso distress ink.  Spritz with some water and SQUISH!  Make a quick project by stamping and inking the chipboard.  Using a teeny tag I stamped the sentiment for my stamp set, Fallen Blossom. The sentiment is perfect on the tiny tag.

I attached it to the cookie box.

The flower is cut 4 times.  The smallest flower is layered and attached to the tag with a metal pineconetucked inside.

A little sheer ribbon.  Perfect so close to Valentines Day.

This is the big Idea-Ology pinecone.

Creativation Enamel Truck n' Trailer

Have truck will haul... Salted NavyEnamel from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies.  I do love to camp so when I was asked if I wanted some... hell ya I do!!!  Think of the enamel camping gear and this will give you an idea of how awesome this embossing powder is.  I have asked for the rainbow in colours.
I made this vintage jalopy for Creativation for the Emerald Creek Craft Supplies booth.  I hear Kim was towing some product in the trailer?
Look how pretty this is...

I knew I wanted to make the Jalopy die all enameld.

EEP... I even made a trailer.

The jalopy has the extra pieces for the tires and running board.  For those pieces I used Onyx Frost.

Some wood posts for the truck box.

I cut pieces from the Make it 3D die for the truck and to create the trailer.

All the scores help shape the truck for the 3D effect.

Ready to roll!

If you're at Creativation you can stop by and see it yourself at the Emerald Creek Craft Supplies booth.

Going Round in Circles

I am guest blogging today over at A Vintage Journey and I'm so excited to share this Mixed Media Masculine canvas.  Here's a quick tutorial using supplies I'm sure you already have available in your craft room!

I started by adding some Magenta Nuance Powder Dyes to my canvas then blended with water and a watercolor pen.  A little heat to speed things along. Layering circles can happen in many ways.  Here I stamped through my Splotches stencil.  I used the ring for my sticky tape to get the large circle, cap for smaller circles and the end of my pencil.  Simply dipped in distress paint.
Using black soot distress crayon on the large circle by smearing.  I stamped my image however due to the texture I decided to add some black soot by simply coloring.
It's always a good idea to add gears when creating a masculine project.  Gadget Gears #2 is coated in these vibrant Emerald Creek Embossing Powders.

Every Man...

Love these gears in metallic embossing powders from Emerald …
